Sonam Kapoor, who is currently gearing up for the release of her film, The Zoya Factor, had something exciting to share. On International Women’s Day today, Variety released their International Women’s Impact Report and Sonam was the only Bollywood actress to feature on it. Sonam took to Twitter to share this news and said she was honoured to be mentioned among the talented women.

Here’s what she wrote:

Gurinder Chadha, Emily Blunt, Olivia Colman are some of the names on the list. And here’s what the magazine had to say about Sonam:

Last year, the busy Bollywood actress starred in women-empowerment comedy “Veere Di Wedding”; “Padman,” in which her character facilitates the journey of a man who makes it his life’s mission to provide affordable sanitary pads to rural Indian women; and “Sanju,” Bollywood’s highest grosser of the year. Already in 2019, she has starred in “Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga,” Bollywood’s first mainstream LGBTQIA film.

Sonam shared that labels and stereotypes are dangerous and detrimental and it has always been her endeavour to break them. She also added that no effort is ever too small and we are all just going to be memories someday. So it’s her aim to be the best one.

We’re so proud of you, Sonam!
