5 Face Masks I Swear By To Keep My Skin Balanced

Jyotika Udeshi

When it comes to skincare, there is no product that gives me as much joy as a face mask does. From gel formulas to clay ones, there’s not a mask I haven’t drooled after. After much trial and error, I’ve finally found 5 formulas that I just can’t live without! Here are all the details.

1. GlamGlow SuperMud

Has anyone not heard of this iconic mask? Formulated with a blend of six acids, kaolin clay and charcoal, this detoxifying mask is as powerful as it gets. The minute I rinse it off, I always notice that my pores seem minimised and my complexion looks brighter. I use it once a week to get rid of the pesky blackheads on my nose and any emerging whiteheads. Since the formula can be drying, especially during winter, I use it only on the affected areas instead of applying it all over my face.

2. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Mask

This mask has been a real saviour for me this season! Not only does it deeply penetrate my skin to keep it moisturised, but also effectively nixes any dry patches on my face. I’ve been liberally applying a coat all over my face at least thrice a week so that I can wake up with a softer and plumper complexion.

3. Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask

Whenever my skin feels dull and lacklustre, I reach for this tube. Since it is comprised of glycolic acid, which is a chemical exfoliant, it works to gently slough off any dead skin. I love how it instantly amps up the radiance and clarity of my skin, without irritating it.

4. Origins Out Of Trouble

Unfortunately for me, my skin is prone to hormonal acne, especially on my chin. These painful, blind pimples respond to no man or treatment… except this magical mask. Formulated with salicylic acid and sulfur, this white mask literally cuts a zit’s life in half. Although it isn’t the most pleasant smelling mask out there, I really can’t do without it’s oil-absorbing and blemish-fighting powers.

5. Lush Rosy Cheeks

Since I’m a beauty addict, I often get carried away with testing out new products… some of which disagree with me and lead to red, itchy and flaky skin. The only product I use during this time is this calming mask. Composed of kaolin, calamine and Turkish rose oil, this nourishing formula soothes and heals my skin, whilst keeping it clean.
