Earlier last year, Shraddha Kapoor was roped in to play the role of ace badminton player, Saina Nehwal in the latter’s biopic. The actress had started prepping for the character and even shot a few portions in September 2018 until she was diagnosed with dengue and advised rest.
Shraddha had to resume shooting for the biopic in April 2019 but as per reports, she has now opted out of it. The production house confirmed today that Parineeti Chopra has stepped in to Shraddha’s shoes and will be essaying the role of Saina.

Reportedly, Shraddha walked out of the film as her dates were clashing with her other projects – Saaho with Prabhas, Street Dancers 3D with Varun Dhawan, Chhichhore with Sushant Singh Rajput and Baaghi 3 with Tiger Shroff. Phew! She definitely has a lot on her plate. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the decision to replace Shraddha with Parineeti was mutual.
