Just today morning, I got a chance to see a special preview of the song, Ghar More Pardesiya from Kalank. And since then, I have gotten hooked to it. The track is picturised mainly on Alia Bhatt and Madhuri Dixit, and we get glimpses of Varun Dhawan too. Yesterday, Alia had shared a still from Ghar More Pardesiya writing, “A song that gave me sleepless nights, days & months is coming very very soon.. I think you can safely say that I have never been SO nervous for anything in my life.. *screams frantically and hides under bed* You may have to send a search party to find me.” After seeing the song, I know why she said that.
It’s no easy task to do a Kathak, especially when Madhuri is in front of you, but Alia is very graceful and effortless in the melodious number. When we met her today, she shared that she practised for almost a year to get the nuances and style right. Her hard work has paid off well. Coming to Madhuri, though we do not get to see her dancing, her ada and expressions are enough for us to fall in love with her even more.
Ghar More Pardesiya is composed by Pritam, the lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and is sung by Shreya Ghoshal with Vaishali Mhade.
