Bollywood actor Savi Sidhu has worked in several Bollywood films such as Black Friday, Gulaal and Patiala House. Sidhu is born and brought up in Lucknow and made his Bollywood debut with Anurag Kashyap‘s Paanch.
Unfortunately, the actor is now working as a security guard with a 12-hour shift in a building in Malad. He had to quit acting after his health deteriorated and to further make things worse, he lost his wife and parents in a matter of few years.
Despite Savi’s health and financial condition badly taking a hit, he still hopes to return to the big screen someday. Film Companion documented the actor’s journey recently, and was shared by Rajkummar Rao as well.
Very inspired by ur story #SaviSidhu sir. Have always admired ur work in all ur films. Love ur positivity. Will def ask all my casting friends to reach out to u. Thank u @FilmCompanion for sharing his story. Perseverance is the key to overcoming obstacles. https://t.co/mITl3DsmzF

While Rajkumar came out in support of Savi saying he’ll refer him to some casting directors, Anurag respected Savi’s decision to work with dignity instead of begging.
