One of the best-animated trilogies comes to an emotional yet beautiful end with the last part of How To Train Your Dragon. The heart-melting relationship that Toothless and Hiccup shared throughout the series also ends on an inevitable conclusion in this one.

While the first part of the series was all about simplicity of a boy finding his dragon along with new paths, the second part was about him losing his father and finding a mother, the third part is an emotional journey of this little boy turning into a man and learning to let go of his past.

In The Hidden World, Toothless finds his soulmate and with her, he finds his independence too! The new villain in this part, however, does a decent job but does not look like a big threat, TBH. It isn’t very clear as to why Grimmel, the villain, hates the dragons and especially Night Furys so much. His desire to hunt and kill them is a little confusing. The story, too, is in a way only held together by toothless’ journey of finding his love. This movie also explains why humans and dragons are better off living separately than together.

While trying to run away from Grimmel and his bad intentions, Hiccup flys away with everybody else in search of a new place which is far away, safe and untraceable on the map. And this quest takes them through some rough patches but the end makes it all worth it.

The visuals are one of the strongest points of this film and the usage of 3D is a thrilling experience to watch. The characters also look, talk and behave very realistically. The final scene will make you feel a little emotional and some might even shed a few happy-sad tears. But Pixar knows how to invoke adult tears and this movie is no exception. All in all, we’d say it is not an exceptional movie but not a bad one either. Have you watched this movie already? Let us know about your thoughts on it in the comments below.
