Little appreciation notes from the people we admire are the biggest treasures we can own! Ayan Mukerji too has treasured this one note from his idol – Shah Rukh Khan – way back from his Assistant Director days.
Ayan recently took to Instagram to share a picture of himself with SRK from the sets of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, saying he is his “Inspiration. Obsession. Idol”. He also added that his biggest achievement in the movies was that he got to work as an AD in SRK’s presence in his early days.

In the second part of the post, he shared a picture of this heartfelt note he received from SRK during the shooting of KANK. The note is all things any budding filmmaker would have loved to receive from the one and only – Shah Rukh Khan!

What a lovely and beautifully written note, right? He has of course taken heed of SRK’s words when it came to filmmaking because we have all seen Ayan’s amazing work in the movies as a director.
His next film, Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy is being touted as his biggest and most ambitious project yet. The logo of the film was recently revealed in a grand fashion at the Kumbh Mela this year. The first part of this fantasy drama trilogy is set to release this Christmas.
