If there’s one person who never holds back and speaks as candidly as possible, it is Kareena Kapoor Khan. Bebo has never been the one to follow trends, in fact, she’s always been a trailblazer. Be it her acting career, her personal life choices, and more recently, how she dealt with her pregnancy. But according to Bebo, these things are nothing to be talked about like big achievements and that’s why we absolutely adore her. She keeps it real and how.

Recently, the actress talked to Hindustan Times about the so-called break she took after she gave birth to her son Taimur Ali Khan in 2016. She revealed how she finds the word “comeback” that is used for female actresses after their pregnancy is problematic.

She said,

When Veere Di Wedding was releasing, everyone tagged it as a comeback for me but I don’t think I really went anywhere; I just gave birth. And this idea of saying that an actress has made a comeback is quite derogatory to women because giving birth doesn’t mean that one has to take a sabbatical.

She further added how pregnancy and giving birth was natural and the most beautiful part of life. She also had a few things to say about how actresses are usually put in boxes post marriage or pregnancy. But, Bebo doesn’t agree with this at all.

Speaking about this the actress added,

It’s very sad if people still think that way, but films like VDW, and actresses doing different parts like how Deepika is right now — it’s about taking up brave roles and having the courage to do it.

We think she’s absolutely right and Bebo is that trailblazer who has broken the myth by playing a character like Kalindi in VDW.

Currently, the actress is working on her next movie Good News along with Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani. Other than this, she will also star in Karan Johar‘s directorial Takht.
