Irrfan Khan is back on the movie sets and everyone (we included, obviously) is more than excited about this! “I travel back to you, thanking you from the bottom of my heart,” wrote the actor sharing a heartfelt post thanking everyone for the love and support. Angrezi Medium marks Irrfan’s comeback to the films and the makers had shared a photo of him from the sets in Udaipur. Since the announcement of the film, everyone has been calling it a sequel to Hindi Medium, but now, we have exclusively learnt that Angrezi Medium is not a sequel. A source close to the development revealed to us about the film being a franchise.

Angrezi Medium is not a sequel to Hindi Medium, though it is the same franchise. It is going to be in the same space- around the English language- but it is not a continuation. Angrezi Medium is going to be a completely different script, characters and story, but with the same core.
The source also shared about the cast and confirmed about Kareena Kapoor Khan being a part of the film.

Directed by Homi Adajani and produced by Maddock Films in collaboration with T-Series, the film will release in 2020.
