Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh‘s wedding was one of the grandest weddings of 2018. The couple tied the knot in Italy in November followed by a number of receptions in India. Like every other couple, Deepika and Ranveer have also been asked questions on ‘starting a family’. In a recent interview with express.co.uk, the Piku actress was asked about pregnancy and motherhood and she had the most apt reply for it.

She said:

It will happen when it has to happen. Motherhood trumps being married. That’s what I hear from people who have had children. Of course, it will happen at some point but no, I think it is unfair to put women through that, to put a couple through that. I guess the day we stop asking the questions is when we will bring about change.

We couldn’t agree any more with Deepika when she said it’s unfair to put a couple through these questions. We are sure all the couples out there will resonate with this.

On the work front, Deepika is currently in Delhi for the shoot of her upcoming Bollywood film, Chhapaak. She plays the role of an acid attack survivor called Malti. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film is based on Laxmi Agarwal, who is an acid attack survivor and now a social activist. Chhapaak also stars Vikrant Massey and is slated to release on 10th January 2020.
