If this image doesn’t remind you of the song ‘Dola Re Dola‘ from Devdas then me mentioning it now might do the trick. Well, the minute I saw this image I started humming the song and legit can’t get it out of my head now. Though this appearance was for Madhuri Dixit Nene‘s latest movie, Kalank‘s promotion, I can’t help but see the similarities in the two looks.
On the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Li’l Champs, Madhuri went for a glamorous desi look. It was a gorgeous saree designed by Anamika Khanna that made this appearance so regal. Celebrity stylist Disha Punjabi from Shaleena Nathani‘s team just got the vibe right with this one. The elaborate design on the border of the saree that looks like embellished studs and the red and white combo makes it a noteworthy ensemble. It was accessorised it with a polki-studded handcrafted necklace from Tyaani Jewellery and ring and arm candy from Minerali Store.
Of course, from the drape style to the work on the saree, the Dola Re Dola look and this one have many differences but the common elements make them look in sync. Here are the elements I am especially paying attention to:
- The red and white colour combo.
- The ornate borders.
- The use of a red blouse with the saree.
- The heavy jewellery.
