We all have been through the awkward teenage years where we were all nervous and shy. And let us tell you, our Bollywood actors are no different. We can at least say that for Varun Dhawan. When the Main Tera Hero actor was 12 years old, he made an appearance on the show, Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai which was hosted by late Farooq Shaikh. The episode saw the host, David Dhawan, his wife, Karuna Dhawan, among others, in conversation who were then joined by Rohit Dhawan and Varun.
On the show, Karuna shared that David was like a friend to his two sons. Rohit too agreed with his mother saying, “We are just like friends more than a father and son relationship,” while a shy Varun, with his specs on and a smile on his face, stood behind.”
Varun too had something to say about his father. “I would say ke yeh duniya ke sabse acche baap hai aur main bhagwaan se khali yeh hi prarthna karta hoon ki main wapas janam lu toh yeh hi mere maa-baap rahe. (I would say that he is the best father and I pray that if I’m born again, I want them to be my mother and father),” he said.
