Actor-singer, Amit Tandon went through a low phase in life when his wife, Ruby was imprisoned in Dubai’s Al Raffa jail for 10 months. The couple had announced their split right before Ruby went to jail but the singer didn’t leave any stone unturned to get bail for his wife, which repeatedly got rejected. Since her release in January this year, the couple is working towards a possible reconciliation.
Amit spoke to IANS about the trying times his family went through during this period:
I have understood a very important fact of life and that is, nothing can bring you down unless you bring yourself down. Being a single father to my daughter for 10 months, not being able to see my wife and not being able to handle the situation to help her… it was so tough.
He further said:
We went through financial losses as well. On top of that, people whom we thought were our friends, actually disappeared when we needed their support. No, I will not take names to get into that negative space again, but I know that Karma will teach them the right lesson.We are glad tough times are now over for Amit and hope his family gets all the happiness and peace they deserve.
