On 2nd April 2019, yet another Guinness World Record was shattered on Instagram by, wait for it, the royals! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry opened their joint account @sussexroyal. Within six hours after its debut post, the account already gained one million followers. And as per Guinness World Records, that is the quickest any account has ever reach the ‘one million’ milestone. And by the time the account put up three posts, they already had 3.5 million followers.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have always made sure they foster a close relationship with their followers, even through social media. They also put up a post about the #GlobalSussexBabyShower too, which is a fan-led initiative to donate to the charities that are favored by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. This is in honour of their first child, who is due sometime later this month. And, there’s also a high possibility that the couple may announce the birth of their first baby on their Instagram account. We’ll surely be keeping an eye out for that!
