This year’s MET Gala is a special one for Priyanka Chopra Jonas! Throwing it back with her Insta stories just a day before the Met Gala, Priyanka reminded us how it was in 2017 that the star walked the recarpet with her husband, Nick Jonas, for the first time. Little did we (or even she) knew then that she is gonna be Mrs Jonas in the future. This year, they arrived with a bang and hit the mark with the theme of the night— Camp: Notes On Fashion. She was almost unrecognisable, all thanks to her dramatic look.

The idea of camp is an expression through fashion, and a loud one indeed! Priyanka and Nick played their part and nailed the brief. The couple made the appearance in Dior. The Dior gown worn by Priyanka had see-through panels with silver accents and a train that had a gradient from yellow to red. Celebrity stylist Mimi Cuttrell accompanied the look with jewels from Chopard and it would have been definitely incomplete without the crown. Nick stood in contrast with an all-white Dior look and sartorial details like a pinstripe shirt underneath and a drape in one hand. Some stellar jewels by Chopard added a spark to the look.

Her beauty look was all-together a different ballgame and not only complemented the gown but enhanced it to make it suitable for the night’s theme. It was clear from the get-go that eyes were the feature that celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff chose to highlight. The intense drama of the dual tone and the icy eyebrows and lashes went well with the rosy cheeks and pink-tinted lips. She didn’t forget her desiness as embellished bindis were added to dramatise the look further. The hair was art itself as celebrity hairstylist Bok Hee went with an oversized curly mane that reminded us of the Queen Of Hearts from Alice In Wonderland.

Overall, we feel that she nailed it as she kept it true to the theme of the exhibition and the night.
