There was a lot of buzz around Student Of The Year 2 ever since it was announced. The two leading ladies in the film – Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria – were always in the spotlight, owing to the fact that it was their big Bollywood debut. Now that the movie is out, Tara and Ananya’s performances in the film were received with mixed responses. While fans loved the drama, action and dance in the high-school drama, critics had some not very good things to say about this Punit Malhotra directorial.

Tara was recently introduced as the new face of Ritu Kumar‘s Spring Summer collection at an event in Mumbai. When she was asked about how she felt reading these mixed reviews regarding the film and her performance, she said she was grateful for the way it was received.

Here’s what she said:

I am not feeling disappointed, but I am feeling really happy that it has been accepted so well. I think what we envisioned for the film, according to that, we feel lucky and thankful that it has opened so well at the box office. The entire team of SOTY 2 is very happy and I would like to make an appeal to the audience to keep giving us the love that they have been giving us.

Tara’s already bagged Milan Luthria‘s next film titled RX 100 with Suniel Shetty‘s son, Ahan Shetty. It is a remake of the blockbuster Telegu film of the same name.

When asked about her experience working with Tiger Shroff and Ahan, here’s what she had to say:

I am very excited to start shooting for it. I think Ahan is fantastic and so is Tiger. Therefore, I feel very lucky that I am getting an opportunity to work with such talented actors from the film industry.

Tara seems to be getting into the Bollywood game, all right! Looking forward to seeing her in the cinemas soon.
