Yesterday, for her cousin’s wedding function, Sonam’s look could have been easily pegged as head-to-toe desi. It was an ensemble designed by her dear friend and designer Anamika Khanna. On a closer look, we can see that it’s actually a very contemporary silhouette. Instead of a lehenga choli look, Rhea chose this summer-perfect outfit, which we guess can be separates of top and skirt or an easy-breezy dress. But whatever the silhouette might be the pastel colour palette and the tiered design makes it a summertime essential. Anamika’s boho-chic vibes are on point with the gauze-like dupatta featuring her signature embroidery.
The brilliance of styling and the reason why this outfit can be pegged as a desi look was hands-down because of the jewellery. With her recent looks, Sonam has been sporting her mother’s stellar jewellery, and this look was no different. The earrings and choker set and the complementing long necklace all made sure this became a look perfect for her cousin’s wedding.
The low messy bun done by celebrity hairstylist Alpa Khimani made sure the jewellery was the focus of the look. Celebrity makeup artist Arti Nayar played with the glam factor of the event with shiny, dewy makeup and tints that are suitable for a summer wedding.
