Akshay Kumar starrer Laxmmi Bomb is a film which is highly anticipated by his fans, as it is a role and a concept that he has not explored before. The poster was released two days ago and it was received with a bang – good and bad. It is a remake of the original Tamil horror comedy, Kanchana. Akshay will mostly be essaying the role of a God-fearing coward who gets possessed by the spirit of a transgender woman.  The poster had Akshay Kumar applying kohl in his eyes and he looked really cool! But, seems like the director of the film – Raghava Lawrence – who also directed and starred in the original Tamil film, isn’t very impressed with its launch.

Here’s what he tweeted:

He handled the issue publicly, yet with respect to Akshay who is the lead in the film. Now, we will have to wait and watch how this controversy plays out further. The film also stars Kiara Advani, who is paired opposite Akshay in the film.

On the work front, Akshay is starring with Kiara in the film Good News, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh. He also has the cop film – Sooryavanshi – directed by Rohit Shetty, co-starring Katrina Kaif.
