We all know that our country is obsessed with two things – cricket and entertainment. Naturally, when the two come together – it makes for the most kickass combination. All thanks to AltBalaji and Ekta Kapoor, we get to witness that every year with the Box Cricket League. This season of BCL began with a bang on 29th April and promised all the fun, games and drama! As BCL 2019 inches towards its end, we have to say that it did not disappoint us one bit. BCL 2019 has been a memorable season filled with some intense competition, some hilarious moments, a lot of dialoguebaazi and much more! We thoroughly enjoyed watching each and every match between the various teams – Delhi Dragons, Goa Killer, Chennai Swaggers, Kolkata Babu Moshayes, Bengaluru Warriors and Azamgarh Royals. While I can think of way too many reasons why this season will always be a memorable one, here are some of the major highlights of BCL 2019.

1. Girl Power

Gone are the days when cricket used to be a male-dominated sport. Times are changing now and how! BCL 2019 has a lot of female players and we couldn’t be happier. Players like Pooja Banerjee, Shikha Singh and Charu Mehra bagged the ‘Women Of The Match’ title in multiple games. You go, girls!

2. Dialoguebaazi

A celebrity match without some bol bachchan on the field is incomplete, hai na? Remember when Abhishek Verma said, “Jab hum field par utarte hai to sabko pata hai kaise utarte hain aur kis mood se utarte hain.” Also, when Shraddha Arya from team Goa Killers said, “Humari opposite team ko bolo apni baton ka level badao” to which Shikha Singh from team Azamgarh Royals retaliated saying, “Maam apni baton ka level nahi hum apne game ka level dikha rahe hain.” I mean, where else would you get to witness such drama if not BCL!

3. Fourth Umpire Rakhi Sawant

BCL‘s fourth umpire – a very entertaining Rakhi Sawant garnered a lot of attention in the matches especially when she flirted with Karan Wahi and Parth Samthaan. What’s more, she even gave a massage to Suyyash Rai when he got injured during a match. Ahem!

4. Beginning Of A Love Story

Boy meets girl on a cricket field, soon sparks start to fly and then brews a whirlwind romance between the two- isn’t that a super adorable meet-cute moment? The Naagin 3 fame actress Pavitra Punia fell in love with the host Pratik Sehajpal (who was seen on Ace of Space). And what followed is a beautiful love story. Yes, that’s right! The two are dating now, thanks to BCL. Aww!

5. The Tussles

When two teams are competing, confrontations are bound to happen. A clash between Karan Wahi and the Chennai Swagger‘s owner created quite a grim situation during the Delhi Dragons Vs Chennai Swagger match. During one of the matches, Arshi Khan also got into an argument with the host, Kunal Pandit. If you think that’s all, well, you’re wrong because many more such controversial moments took place between the games.

And in case you’ve missed all the fun, worry not guys – you can catch it all on the AltBalaji app. That’s not all, guys! Naezy (the rapper) will also have a special performance in the final episode of the BCL 2019 match. So what are you waiting for? Click here to binge away!
