The World Blogger Awards took place on 24th May 2019 in Cannes and we are way too excited about the results! The award ceremony celebrated the success of more than 42 nominated influencers, bloggers and stars from all over the world. The first-ever award show of its kind saw our very own Indian bloggers Gaurav Chaudary, Ashish Chanchlani, and Bhuvan Bam winning awards from a total of 14 winners. How cool is that?

Bam won the ‘Global Entertainer of the Year 2019’ award for his BB Ki Vines. Chaudary bagged the ‘Best Technical Influencer’ Award for his Technical Guruji channel, while Chanchlani won the ‘Best Comedy Influencer’ Award for his Ashish Chanchlani channel.

With almost 102 million people following the event worldwide, this inaugural award show made its debut with a big bang! Almost 200 of the world’s most popular and recognised influencers made appearances at the event. We are super stoked because the winners have definitely made our country proud!

Bam was on cloud nine on winning the highest honour as Global Entertainer, and stated,

I feel extremely happy and proud to win ‘Global Entertainer of the Year’ on such a huge forum. This award rewards all of my hard work and perseverance and I dedicate it to my BB Ki Vines army for always believing in me and never giving up. Onwards and upwards now.

Chanchlani, as well, celebrated his success and mentioned,

I want to thank my family, my mom, day and sister Muskan, my team and all my friends, because of whom this is possible. And most importantly my followers and my fans, I thank them. I feel extremely proud to represent India here. Vande Mataram!

In his video message, Technical Guruji, aka Chaudary, was elated and sent this message to his followers,

I thank all my subscribers and followers who always stood along, and with their valuable feedback and incredible support, made this journey a smooth sail for me.

Deemed as the ‘Oscar of the Bloggers’, this event has more than 3,000 applications, which were narrowed down to 42 nominations eventually. People worldwide, from countries such as the United States, Brazil, France, Ukraine, Russia, Great Britain, and China, applied to enter in this award ceremony.

We sure are super proud of our desi boys bringing our country’s name in the limelight. Did you guys follow this event? What did you guys think about it? Let us know in the comments below!
