Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s next production Malaal has been in the news as he introduces two new faces in the industry – his niece Sharmin Segal and Javed Jaaferi‘s son Meezaan Jaaferi. The two fresh faces looked very promising in the trailer. The makers released the first song from the film, which looks like it is Meezaan’s character – Shiva‘s – introductory song in the film. The track is titled ‘Aila Re‘ and shows Meezaan grooving to some upbeat music composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali to Prashant Ingole’s lyrics and sung by the ever so energetic Vishal Dadlani. The song also includes a rap by the popular Shreyas Puranik.

Listen to the song here:

Now that’s one groovy song, ain’t it?! Ganesh Acharya, in his choreography, lends his signature steps to this song as well, as he did in popular songs like ‘Tattad, Taddad’ (Goliyon Ki Raasleela RamLeela) and ‘Malhari’ (Bajirao Mastani). Meezan also showcases some promising dancing skills in the song (He is Javed Jaaferi’s son, of course!).

Directed by Mangesh Hadawale, the synopsis of the film reveals that it is about Shiva and Astha, two very different people from contrasting backgrounds, who experience the innocence of love. Does their love find its destination or do they part ways? Guess we need to stay with them on their journey to find out! The film is all set to release on 28th June. We can’t wait to see these two fresh faces on screen!
