Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan are two friends who have collaborated to make some very successful films like Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year. Shah Rukh’s charm and Farah’s wit and humour make for one fun movie experience every single time! SRK’s fans have been eagerly waiting for him to announce his next project, as there were many rumours surrounding his upcoming projects. Now, a report on BollywoodLife suggests that the he may be roped in by Farah Khan for her remake of the 1982 film, Satte Pe Satta.

According to the BollywoodLife report, an inside source confirmed the news that SRK was interested in the project, and was roped in to play the lead in the film.

Here’s what the source said:

Farah has bounced off the script to Shah Rukh and he is interested in it. The two share a great working relationship and have delivered hits like Main Hoon Naa and Happy New Year. He wants to make a strong comeback and nothing better than a masala entertainer.

For the ones who are not acquainted with the original film, it starred Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in lead roles and was a super hit film of that time. It will be nice to see how Farah takes the original and makes it her own, and to see SRK in his senior, Amitabh’s shoes. As far as the heroine is concerned, news is that the makers are interested in casting Katrina Kaif and talks are on with the actress and the makers.

The source added:

Since Katrina is busy with Bharat promotions, she will chat about it in detail later. So, if everything works out well then we will see Shah Rukh Khan – Katrina in the film.

Apart from Bharat, Katrina has also singed Rohit Shettys next film, Sooryavanshi, opposite Akshay Kumar. Rohit is also collaborating with Farah Khan on this project as well. We can’t wait to see the double dose of entertainment the two super directors will bring on screen!
