Nail trends are my favourite kind of beauty craze. Whilst some makeup fads are too experimental to incorporate (remember the 2017’s obsession with crazy brows?), nail art allows you to express your creativity in a minute manner. Case in point, confetti nails!
Dubbed as the manicure of the season, this sparkly trend literally brings the party to your tips. By using chunky flecks of glitter and tiny foil stars, this fad aims to create the illusion of floating confetti on your nails. Subtler than using glitter polish all over, this trend is an equal mix of chic and fun. If you would like to try it out, here is some inspiration for you:

If you are ready to dive headfirst into this trend, take a leaf (or a few stars) out of this look. The brightly coloured stars, hearts and flowers contrast beautifully against the sheer beige base to create a vibrant and festive effect.

Looking to take things a step further? Opt for a rainbow theme like the one depicted below. Stick to one shade per finger to add a little order to the chaos of glitter.

If I had to pick one type of confetti nail, I would definitely opt for this one! The tiny holographic stars look incredibly pretty and add a touch of sophistication to this fad.

If you are a minimalist but a beauty addict, this nail art is made for you. The clear base and positioning of the glitter towards the nail bed looks clean and chic, whilst the inclusion of a single, large star keeps the nails on trend.
