Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are finally reuniting on-screen again and this time thankfully they won’t end up dying by the end. If you didn’t know already, Deepika will be joining the cast of Ranveer’s upcoming big film, ’83 helmed by Kabir Khan. While Ranveer is will be seen playing the legendary Kapil Dev, DP will play his wife Romi Dev. As we said, both of them were equally excited about their collaboration and took to Instagram to spam us with the cutest pictures of them with their director in Glasgow.

But what’s jaw-dropping and pretty awesome than these pictures is the whopping amount that Deepika is getting paid for this role. When there is a perpetual conversation about pay parity and just how less actresses get paid in comparison to their male counterparts, DP could be seen as a trailblazer in this sense. Apparently, rumour has it that, DP has been paid a whopping 14 crores to be a part of the cricket film. According to reports, DP who was initially in two minds about taking on a non-central character in a movie finally agreed to do so because of her husband and we suspect the happy ending. The zeroes on the check wouldn’t have hurt either, right?
