John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra starrer Dostana was a massive hit in 2008. It was a one-of-its kind movie since Bollywood had not attempted anything of that genre, at least not on a mainstream scale.
Apart from its progressive theme and fun approach, the film is loved and still remembered for several reasons. For one, PeeCee looked fabulous and got her second identity as “desi girl”; Shilpa Shetty sizzled the screens to Shut Up & Bounce; and of course we got our OG ultimate bromance with Bachchan Jr. and John.
Sigh! Those were the times.
A decade after the film’s release, Dharma Productions might be coming back with a sequel to Dostana. The makers have dropped a tiny teaser of sorts, leaving the viewers to guess what’s in store until they officially announce the film tomorrow.
