1. Mug Cake

Microwave mug cakes feel like cosy, warm hugs on a gloomy day, don’t you agree? They’re super easy to make and don’t take more than 5 minutes of prep time and 2 minutes of cook time. You can experiment with different flavours and combinations since mug cakes require really small batches of batter. My personal favourite is a choco chip one!

2. Maggi

How can we forget about Maggi while talking about microwavable monsoon foods?! I’d have to say that no way in hell does maggi take only 2 minutes to cook but it is definitely worth the wait, noh? Add a layer of cheese on top for some extra love, because why not!

3. Omelette

Another fun way to have an omelette is to pour it in a mug and toss it in a microwave. Not that it tastes any different, but it’s a lot more fun to scoop it out of a mug, LOL! You can jazz it up with some exotic veggies to give your everyday omelette a healthy twist!

4. Cookies

With just 5 minutes of prep time and 45-60 seconds of cook time, you can make single serving cookies for yourself in the microwave, and savour them with a cup of hot chocolate. Don’t expect them to have a crispy, browned exterior like the baked ones, but these aren’t any less tempting. These will turn out to be gooey, oozy and melty!

5. Popcorn

And lastly, one of the best monsoon binge-watch snacks of all time—popcorn! You can either buy the microwave popcorn packs that are easily available in general stores or make from scratch too. All you gotta do is mix some unpopped corn and oil and throw it in a paper bag, add salt to it, fold the opening of the bag twice, and toss it in the microwave at full power for about 2 minutes. Be careful of the steam when you take it out and serve.

Monsoon cravings can get real sometimes but try and avoid eating outside food, especially during this season. And a lot of times we forget about the lip-smacking snacks we can prepare in a jiffy in our microwave that won’t land our tummies in trouble later too! Also, don’t forget to let us know in the comments below which one is your favourite monsoon snack.
