7 Uplifting Podcasts To Get You Inspired

Team MissMalini , 05 Jul 2019

Podcasts are the latest rage these days, and almost all content creators are hopping on the wagon and creating podcasts covering pretty much any topic we can think of. As a college student, I spend a good hour and a half commuting every day, and most of the time it’s not fun to sit in one place for several hours. I usually listen to music, but I recently discovered the world of podcasts and now my travel time flies quicker. I tend to listen to fashion podcasts but I have recently started gravitating towards motivational and uplifting genres. They boost my morale and keep my mind occupied. The best part is that even if you’re not commuting, you can always have a podcast playing in the background while cleaning or cooking. This being said, here are a few of my favs that will definitely lift your spirits after a listen!

1. The Gary Vee Audio Experience

If you’ve dabbled into the world of podcasts, you’ve definitely come across Gary Vee. He is a public speaker, investor, entrepreneur, vlogger and CEO. His podcasts straight-up tell people how to find success in life, providing a great mix of interviews and talks with notable thinkers and celebs. Gary’s podcasts will make you rethink everything you’ve ever considered in life. He’ll help you find the best path to personal success.

Get out of your own way…🤜🏼Too often we question and doubt ourselves, we don’t know if we’re doing the right thing, scared to make mistakes and frightened of failure… I’ve come to realise that the only real obstacle is ourselves, and that we can pretty much get in our own way of living the life we truly want… the only person stopping you is YOU! The beauty of realising this though is that we can start to make adjustments and work on altering our mindset by learning to get out of our own way and begin to embrace everything the world has to offer! ~~~ I’ve reposted this from my other page @studio27eleven as I felt it resonated well with me today and thought it may ring true with you guys! 🙋🏼‍♀️

7. Happier

There are many paradoxes of happiness, and this is one of the most important. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We must strive to know ourselves, and accept the truth about ourselves, but at the same time, try to do the best we can. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In #HappieratHome, I write about how I struggled with this question as I faced my fear of driving. Should I accept a fear of driving as a natural limit of my nature, or should I expect myself to conquer that fear? Very reluctantly, I decided to make myself start driving again. Is there an area where you struggle to decide whether to “accept yourself” or to “expect more from myself"? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As Flannery O'Connor put it, "Accepting oneself does not preclude an attempt to become better." (Letter, December 9, 1961, quoted in The Habit of Being.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Or as W. H. Auden put it, “Between the ages of twenty and forty we are engaged in the process of discovering who we are, which involves learning the difference between accidental limitations which it is our duty to outgrow and the necessary limitations of our nature beyond which we cannot trespass with impunity.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Agree, disagree? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #Secretsofadulthood #habits #happiness #quotes
