When it comes to dance reality shows, drama and emotions is a part of the package. Especially, if it is a show like Nach Baliye – a dance show starring actors and actresses – it is not a shocker if we hear about a slap on the show. A lot has been happening on the sets of the latest season of Nach Baliye 9. One of the most eagerly awaited shows right now, the contestants are rehearsing non-stop for the grand premiere.
Rahul Mahajan and Shrenu Parikh, the guest couple who have been invited to perform at the premiere of the show, seem to have gotten a little too immersed in their rehearsal. So much so, that Rahul actually asked Shrenu to slap him. The couple was rehearsing for the song, ‘Second Hand Jawaani’ which required Shrenu to slap Rahul as part of the comic act in the choreography. Although Shrenu was hesitant at first, Rahul convinced her to go ahead and slap him as it would make the act look more realistic.
Telling us more about it, Shrenu shares:
It was a fun experience. We had too much fun in the act, the performance and the rehearsals. It was such a painful thing to do. He kept saying chalega tu slap kar koi problem nahi. And to be honest, last shot mein I kinda slapped him hard. But he’s a great sport. It’s exciting to be performing here. There will be lots of twists and turns and it’ll be great to watch this year’s Nach.
Nach Baliye has been in the news lately, due to their gradual announcement of all the jodis. The new twist in the concept of the show is also garnering a lot of attention. This year’s Nach will present five ex-couples and five current couples as contestants on the show. Needless to say, the fans are going berserk already and are super excited to see all their favourite television stars coming together!
Nach Baliye 9 is being produced by Salman Khan and will premiere on the 19th of July, on Star Plus.
