We sure can agree to the fact that the way in which fans interact with celebrities has evolved to a large extent in all these years. The most prized possession to a fan would be an autographed picture or poster of their stars and now, even a tweet or an Instagram DM from the celebs means the world to us fans. Stars like Akshay Kumar are the few who have been a part of both these worlds. So, when one of his fans tweeted to him about an autographed photo Akshay had given him twenty years ago, the actor couldn’t help but feel nostalgic about those times.

The fan, Anand Galande, posted a tweet saying Akshay had sent him that autographed picture in 1997 as a thank you gesture for the appreciation letter he received. He even sent him a list of his forthcoming films! How old school, how cool, right?!

Here’s the post:

Akshay, who is quite active on Twitter was quick to respond and wrote, “Of course I do…good old days of fan mail 🙂 Hope you’re doing good. God bless always“.

Here is his tweet:

At that time, Akshay was doing films like Mr and Mrs Khiladi, Daava, Tarazu, among others. I would have actually loved to write my favourite actor a fan letter and actually get a reply to my handwritten note ‘cuz it is just so much more personal and intimate, isn’t it?!

On the work front, we just saw the trailer of Akshay’s next film, Mission Mangal, which looks absolutely amazing. He is also working on Rohit Shetty‘s cop-thriller Sooryavanshi.
