A couple of months back, Kiara Advani had shared the news about her upcoming Bollywood film, Indoo Ki Jawaani. And now, the lead actor opposite Kiara has been finalised. Aditya Seal, who was last seen in Student Of The Year 2, has signed the film which is a modern love story based on dating apps.
Confirming the same, Aditya said:
Yes, I am a part of this comedy of errors. I have to master a separate lingo for the film. Why? That will be revealed in the film.
The actor had just one meeting with the director and was on board soon after. He also spoke about his character and shared that it’s not going to be a typical hero. “The character is going to be real and people will connect with him immediately“, he shared. He will soon start his reading session and also prep for the role.
Since the story of the film is of a girl from Ghaziabad whose left and right swipes on dating app result in hilarious chaos, Aditya shared his own experience on one of the apps too.
He revealed:
All that swiping left, swiping right and matching with a person freaked me out and I deleted the app in three days. I’ve chatted on Facebook Messenger, but Tinder and Hinge is too much for me. I felt like bait of fresh meat.
Indoo Ki Jawaani marks the Bollywood directorial debut of Bengali writer-filmmaker Abir Sengupta.
