No-makeup makeup might be a trend of the past but in today’s day, it is very much unconsciously used and worn. The reason why the trend caught on till date (a good 4 years running, IMHO) is because it’s exactly what it sounds like it—makeup that feels like you’re wearing none! But we all know that for makeup to go on and look flawless, one needs glowing, radiant skin. Although having a flawless base isn’t always achievable and possible, we can hack our way to it with these 3 super easy tricks.
When it comes to picking blush, there’s a large variety of shades and colours out there. But if you’re looking for a natural look, choose a colour with the same undertone as your skin. Meaning, if it adds a brighter pop to your skin, it’s too bright and if it dulls your skin down, it’s too subtle. Once you find your ideal blush, sweep the pink powder onto the apples of your cheeks. And whatever product remains on the brush, add that to your lids to give your face a uniform ‘flushed’ glow.
I’m sure everyone knows how to use a highlighter. But it’s important to use this product in the key areas—along your temples, cheekbones, centre of your nose and eyelids. This step ensures a ‘glow from within’ kind of look that’s essential in nailing (and more like hacking) radiant-looking skin.
Lastly, using a bronzer will warm up your skin and give it a natural and plumped look. While the work of a bronzer is to usually hide and define certain features of your face, it can also add dimension and make you look well-rested. It’s preferable to use a powder bronzer for this and apply it to your forehead, chin and jawline and to the hollows of your cheeks.
