Sanjivani 2 is all set to hit our television screens very soon. The original medical drama – Sanjivani – had audiences hooked on to it almost 2 decades ago, and this reboot is going to be a whirlwind of nostalgia for all those fans. Viewers are waiting with bated breath to witness this hospital drama unfold, and the makers of the show are updating fans with some really fun BTS videos and photos form the sets.

Now, the latest update is that there are real doctors who have been visiting the sets of the serial to speak to the actors and provide them with inputs on how to perform the role of an on-screen doctor efficiently. The actors have been taking insights about the lingo, certain basic mannerisms and protocols that are followed by professionals. Talking about her experience, the lead actress in the show — Surbhi Chandna —who plays Dr. Ishani shared her experience about being trained by real doctors.

Playing a doctor is truly a challenging task. It’s not easy on any level but it does help when you have proper guidance from the real experts! For Sanjivani 2, we have real doctors visiting the sets and helping us in terms of body language, basic medical terms and things like how a doctor wear gloves, checks the blood pressure of a patient and the right way to hold a stethoscope. We will be showcasing different medical cases along with the dramatic element on the show. I would like to express my profound gratitude to all the medical experts who have helped us to better our performances in the show.

By the looks of it, the cast of this medical drama seem like they are all set to wow the audiences with their authentic and heartfelt performances. Talking of cast, two of the original show’s loved actors – Mohnish Bahl and Gurdeep Kohli Punj – will be a reprising their roles in Sanjivani 2 as the senior most professionals, taking the legacy forward with a new set of doctors. The lead couple is going to be played by Surbhi Chandna and Namit Khanna, with Rohit Roy and Sayantani Ghosh essaying important roles as well. Sanjivani 2 will air starting August 12th, on Star Plus.
