Hosting a house party can really stress the living hell out of us sometimes! I’ve been a party hoster all through my college years and it hasn’t been an easy ride, TBH. But along these years, I learnt quite a lot of helpful tricks and unlearned many more mistakes. And one of the biggest problems I’d face during such times was making sure nobody leaves unhappy with the food options at the party. Isn’t that the biggest bummer of all times (no chicken at a party is an equally big bummer too)?

So, while I was looking around for quick and easy snack options, I came across this tempting recipe by Foodhall India. And it’s a perfect fit for a party snack, so read on to find out how you can make some for yourself too!

What You’ll Need

4 wonton wrappers, cut in quarters

1 boneless chicken breast, cut into very small pieces

2 tsp sesame oil

1 tsp miso paste

1 tsp soy

1 tsp mirin/rice wine vinegar

1 inch ginger, grated

1 tbsp finely chopped red/yellow bell peppers

1 spring onion, finely chopped (leaves for garnish)

1 tsp brown sugar

1 tsp black pepper, coarsely grind

1 tsp sesame seeds

Here’s How You Can Put It All Together

Step 1: Heat some sesame oil in a pan. Sauté the ginger until it turns light brown.

Step 2: Add the onion and bell peppers and cook for about a minute.

Step 3: Add the chicken pieces, cook for about 2 minutes more and add the soy, miso, vinegar, and brown sugar. Cook this for about 5 to 10 minutes till the mixture turns a little dry and chicken is well cooked. Adjust the seasoning as per your taste.

Step 4: Now, preheat the oven at 200 ˚C. Place the wonton wrappers on tart moulds and bake them for about 5 to 10 minutes until crispy. Remove from the oven and let them cool.

Step 5: Place spoonful of the chicken filling in the prepared wonton tarts shells and sprinkle some sesame over it. Finally, garnish it with spring onion leaves and serve warm.
