In 2010, Sonakshi Sinha made her acting debut in Bollywood with Dabangg opposite Salman Khan. But do you know how she landed the role? She shared her story recently on The Kapil Sharma Show.
Sonakshi was working as an audience manager in a fashion show when Salman discovered her. The superstar was sitting in the audience and already knew that she was Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter.
She shared:
He came to me humbly and suggested me to lose weight as he looked forward to casting me in his movie. I was extremely elated and seeing me excited, he jokingly asked me to treat him to celebrate this news but I only had Rs. 3000 in my wallet. Yes! Imagine the star asking for a treat and I was having only Rs. 3000 that too what I earned from that fashion show.
This is definitely one day Sona will never forget!
Coming to her films, Sonakshi will next be seen in Khandaani Shafakhana which also stars Varun Sharma, Badshah, among others. Directed by Shilpi Dasgupta, the film will be releasing this Friday, 2nd August 2018.
