All the Mumbaikars know the pain of finding an auto in general, and even more in the monsoons. I know, it’s an emotional topic for the Mumbaikars but we have a story here which will leave you surprised. We all know how unpredictable the Mumbai rains are and that’s when the commute becomes a problem. But that wasn’t the case for Imtiaz Ali.

The director shared a post on Facebook and shared his story about getting a free auto ride. Yes, guys, you’ve read that right. He was out on the streets of Mumbai when it had started raining and he had nothing to cover himself. That’s when an auto-rickshaw came and asked him if he wanted a ride. Imtiaz had checked and he knew he had no money. Despite knowing that, the auto driver insisted on dropping him. He then sat inside and drove a distance when a car stopped the auto because a couple wanted a selfie with Imtiaz. That’s when the auto driver looked at him and asked if he was Imtiaz Ali. “He said he would want a selfie with me. I told him I would want a selfie with him as well,” he concluded.

I already want to go and say a big thank you to him for restoring our faith in the autowallas.

Imtiaz Ali’s next film, Aaj Kal stars Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan in the lead. It is a sequel to his 2009 film, Love Aaj Kal which starred Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead.
