Search through any woman’s handbag and chances are that you will come across a tube of pink lipstick! Sophisticated, yet fun, lipsticks in this shade can liven up every complexion. However, not all pink lipsticks are the same. Since I’ve tried out a fair amount of them over the past few years, I thought that I should create a list of the best formulas I’ve tried till date.
1. MAC Matte Lipstick In ‘Mehr’
This blue-based pink lipstick is iconic for a reason. The creamy texture delivers a full coverage and matte finish, without making the lips feel parched. For me, this shade is very versatile. It works well on its own but also pairs beautifully with a smoky look or a cat-eye.
2. Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink In ‘Inspirer’
With its long lasting finish and opaque formula, this liquid lipstick ticks all the right boxes for me. The medium pink shade looks super cute when worn and doesn’t budge even the tiniest bit, no matter how many cups of coffee I down. Plus, the price point makes it a total steal!
3. Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm In ‘Plushest Punch’
When I don’t have too much time to do up my face, I turn to this tube. Since the formula is quite buildable, I can dot it on to get a sheer, blotted look or swipe it across my lips to get a juicy pop of bright pink. Either way, it makes my pout look plumper and keeps it hydrated throughout the day.
4. Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet In ‘La Raffinée’
Work interviews, weddings, conferences… basically every event in my life that requires me to act as an adult features this gorgeous lipstick. The rosy pink hue is quite a classic and always adds a touch of elegance to my look. Unlike many matte lipsticks, this formula actually delivers a soft and velvety finish that doesn’t settle into the lines of my lips.
5. Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte Lipstick In ‘Pay Day’
Although this lipstick is a fairly recent purchase, I’m already obsessed with it. Not only is it one of the most pigmented formulas I’ve come across, but is also one that is extremely comfortable to wear. These two factors are the reason why I’ve been wearing this cool-toned hue practically every day this month!
