Gone are the days when clashes in the big screen suggested that the lead actors were at loggerheads with each other. When Akshay Kumar and John Abraham released their films – Misson Mangal and Batla House respectively – together on the 15th of August last week, it was quite natural for people to assume that this might lead to some friction between the Desi Boyz. But, they are the Desi Boyz, and they are all about the brotherhood. The two actors even posed for some pictures together during their promotional activities and we were loving the bromance!

Recently, in an interaction with Mid-Day, John mentioned that Akshay even sent him a congratulatory message after the success of Batla House which said, “I am happy for you too. It’s time we work together“.

Speaking about their relationship, John further added:

It’s so nice and healthy when the camaraderie is not competitive but healthy. Both films are being appreciated.

It sure is! We absolutely love it when leading heroes and heroines come out in support of each others’ work and hype each other up. Also, we cannot wait to see this good-looking ‘Desi Boyz‘ duo come back in a proper ‘Garam Masala‘ film very soon! (See what I did there?!)

Both Mission Mangal and Batla House proved to be successful in the box office and have won over the audiences all over.
