Rishi Kapoor has been away from his home, his fans and family for over a year now, owing to his illness and treatment in the USA. The actor has been staying in New York City with his wife, Neetu Kapoor. While they do have family and friends over who come to meet them every now and then, Rishi sure does miss India and Indian food in particular.

Now that Rishi Ji’s health has stabilised and his treatment is almost over, he is all set to return to India. In an interview with Mid-Day, he shared that he will be in India around the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, which he is excited to be a part of this time around. A foodie, Rishi Ji says that what he misses the most is all the Indian food he hasn’t had in so long.

Here’s what he had to say:

I miss eating pomfret; it’s not available here. I also miss the soft homemade chapatis. You get all sorts of naan and rotis, but those soft chapatis made of chakki ka atta are something else!

Ah, isn’t this something all of you who are away from your homes and India especially will relate to?! Nothing like humara ghar ka khaana, amirite?!

On the work front, Rishi Ji has always said that he can’t wait to start work again, and seems like he is already going to be working once he is back. He will be joining Emraan Hashmi on the sets of the film, The Body.
