By now, we all know about the woman who became an internet sensation owing to a viral video of her sitting outside a Kolkata railway station and singing Latha Mangeshkar‘s ‘Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai‘. Ranu Mandol got praises from all over for her lovely voice and became a sensation overnight. Moreover, after growing famous on the internet, she was even given a complete makeover. Recently, Ranu was on the kids’ singing show, Superstar Singer, where she sang the same song for everyone. Himesh Reshammiya, who is one of the judges on the show, was mighty impressed with her and offered her a chance to sing a track in his next film. Yes, that is huge. Ranu will be singing a track in Himesh’s next, Happy Hardy and Heer titled ‘Teri Meri Kahaani‘.
When reached out to Himesh, he shared:
Salman Bhai’s father Salim uncle once advised me that whenever in life I come across a talented person, he advised me to help that person grow his/her talent. Today, I met Ranu ji and I feel that she is blessed with divinity. She has a god’s gift which needs to be shared with the world. She also learnt the tune on the sets live and she will record the track immediately in a day or two and the song is titled ‘Teri meri Kahani.’
