The Beauty Blender was born and discovered back in 2007 when most of the industry didn’t really realise how much they were in need of an egg-like shaped foundation sponge. But once launched and out in the market, the teardrop-shaped hot pink blender-sponge became a must-have for makeup artists and beauty amateurs across the world. Because of its soft, water absorbing and bouncy features, it becomes super easy to blend liqiuds and to set face powders for a flawless finish.

Now of course, the main function of the blender is to pick up liquid foundation/concealer, apply it to your face with a bouncing technique and they layer on setting powder with the teardrop shape end. Other than the fact that it revolutionised the way one applies their base, the sponge also lets you layer on your makeup without the appearance of any harsh lines and demarcations. And once you’re covered the basics, here are a few other ways you can use your beauty blender:

1. To Apply Blush: By taking one end of the blender with the cream or liquid blush and bouncing it onto your cheeks.

2. To Create Ombré Nail Art: By applying a three-toned colour to your nail and then dabbing the sponge to create an ombre effect.

3. To Mix Tinted Moisturiser To Your Foundation: For a seemless blend of hydration and foundation, take a coin-sized amount of moisturiser and foundation and in dabbing motions, mix the two together.
