It’s always a great feeling to see your favourite stars be honoured for their remarkable contribution towards cinema. And when it is a legendary icon like the late actress, Sridevi Kapoor, it is all the more special. Madame Tussauds Singapore just unveiled the wax statue of the actress, clad in her iconic look from the song Hawaa Hawaai from Mr India.

On her birth anniversary this year, it was announced that Madame Tussauds Singapore will be honouring the legendary actress, and they invited the family for the occasion today. This sure would have been a very emotional moment for her husband – Boney Kapoor – and her daughters – Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor – who were present at the unveiling. Boney Kapoor’s brother, Sanjay Kapoor was also present, along with Sridevi’s close friends Rakhee and Raam Punjabi. The family was spotted at the airport as they flew to Singapore day before.

Here are the pictures:

We can only imagine what an emotional moment it would have been for the two girls and Boney Ji. They also had fan messages collected from all over the world, which were displayed for everyone to read.

An exceptional actress, and a star, Sridevi Ji will always continue to live on in our hearts.
