Earlier today, Karan Johar launched yet another new face in the film industry. Dharma Productions announced that Lakshya will be joining that cast of their upcoming film, Dostana 2, alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan.

Soon after the announcement, KJo was confronted with questions regarding Lakshya’s film background. Was this yet another nepotistic move? Whose son is he? Is his last name not being revealed in order to conceal his star connection? – were just a few of the many comments.
However, Lakshya is not a star kid. Netizens pointed out that he is Lakshya Lalwani, who earlier played King Puru in Sony TV’s drama series, Porus. Read more about him here. Karan also later clarified that the debutant does not belong to the film industry and went through an audition process to land the role.
