Priyanka Chopra Jonas is a global superstar today. But what makes her so inspirational is because of her own hard work. She definitely wasn’t born into any film families or was she someone with an influential godfather. She made her way up slowly and steadily. Getting super candid in her latest interview with Vogue India, she spoke about her initial years in Bollywood and how it wasn’t all a bed of roses.
Speaking about the unpleasant start to her career, she said:
I didn’t know anything or anyone. I was yelled at by directors, I was thrown into movies, I was thrown out of movies.
She also revealed that what helped her get through the tough times was her father’s support. The actress said that her father had told her that — “The more you talk, the less you will listen and the less you will learn.”
She further added:
I taught myself confidence. I learnt it’s what you do after failure that makes you a success.
PeeCee made her Bollywood debut with The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. Priyanka is currently all set to promote her upcoming movie The Sky Is Pink. The movie was recently screened at Toronto International Film Festival and has been getting some great reviews. This will be PeeCee’s Bollywood comeback after Jai Gangaajal in 2016. She will be seen alongside Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim, and Rohit Saraf.
