Angad Bedi is gearing up for the release of his next, The Zoya Factor, which also stars Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salman. In the film, Bedi plays Robin Rawal, a cricketer who has a distinct style and loves wearing high-end branded clothes.
Enter Karan Johar! The director-producer, who himself has a flair for fashion and owns plenty of envious designer labels, graciously offered a few clothes from his personal collection for Angad to wear during the shoot. Speaking about it, the Inside Edge actor said:
My character needed several different looks like formals, athleisure, layers etc. So we put together a range of high end brands to give the character a look that would best deem fit. Karan was kind enough to allow us to source clothes from his wardrobe. He is a style icon and the character I’m playing, Robin needed aesthetic of the fashion sense Karan has in his personal life. My producers, Aarti and Pooja Shetty put together looks from his personal wardrobe.
KJo, who happens to be good friends with The Zoya Factor‘s producer duo, Pooja Shetty and Aarti Shetty, decided to help them out. Since Karan has a huge collection of some of the best luxury brands, he asked Angad’s stylist and yet another close associate, to borrow his outfits for the character.
If you guys are planning to watch the movie this coming weekend, look out for the scenes where Angad is not sporting the cricket jersey. He will be wearing clothes from the most sought after designers such as Gucci, Balenciaga and Tom Ford – straight from Johar’s cupboard. Double #WIN, I say!
