Between the ending of  Avengers: End Game and the news of Spider-Man leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe it’s been a hard couple of months for us MCU fans. Our only ray of hope from the OG Avengers gang is the upcoming Black Widow movie. After half of the OG Avengers sacrificed their lives for the greater good, we don’t know what the future of the Avengers group is yet. The Black Widow movie slated for release in 2020, will be set after the events of Captain America: Civil War and before the events of Avengers: Infinity War.

We’re already pumped because this is legitimately the first stand-alone movie of the first female avenger who’s been through thick and thin with the boys. But there might be more good news. According to recent reports on Deadline.com, Iron Man will be a part of this movie. If this is the case Robert Downey Jr. will be reprising his role as the superhero to star in the Black Widow movie. It’s still unclear on how big Downey’s role will be, but we’ll take what we get! There has still been no official confirmation regarding the same but if found true, this is HUGE!

At this point as a MCU fanatic, I would do anything to see the Iron Man and Black Widow on screen. Earlier this month, there were speculations of Robert Downey Jr.’s involvement in the Disney+ series of Ironheart – the 15-year-old girl who takes Iron Man‘s legacy forward. It was rumoured that RDJ will be the AI voice of Ironheart‘s Iron suit. We hope these speculations turn out to be true because there is really no one like RDJ who can play Iron Man, is there? Keep your fingers crossed, y’all!
