More and more filmmakers and actors in today’s time are turning towards OTT platforms in search of great content. The scope to experiment and the varied stories you can tell are why these platforms are rapidly growing. Right from Saif Ali Khan to Karan Johar, everyone is embracing it with open arms. Now, the lastest people to join the gang are Ajay Devgn and Kajol.
According to a PTI article, Ajay is producing the film under his banner – Ajay Devgn Films. This is a multi-generational tale, all set to be directed by actor Renuka Shahane, and marks actress Kajol’s digital debut. She will star alongside actors like Mithila Palkar, Tanvi Azmi and Kunaal Roy Kapoor. The name of the film is derived from an Odissi dance pose, ‘Tribhanga‘ and is all set to go on floors this week.
The film will trace the stories of three women from the same household, with a back and forth narrative through three different generations from the late 1980s to modern-day. Kajol, Mithila and Tanvi Ji are set to play Nayan, Anu and Masha in the film.
Speaking about the film, Ajay told PTI:
When my team and co-producer Banijay Asia got on board with Netflix, we were excited that we could tell this story in a much more nuanced manner, with the highest production standards possible and reach a wider audience.
