Sanya Malhotra is one of the most promising talents we have in the country today. Right from her debut in Dangal, to her last release, Photograph, her performance in each of her projects have been appreciated by critics and audiences alike. To add to that, she’s a fantastic dancer as well. If you haven’t seen her dance videos on Instagram, you’re definitely missing out on something. But TBH, it’s been a while since we saw the actress let her hair down and sway to the beat. Seems like Sanya thought so too. This is probably why she took to post a video of herself dancing to one of Madhuri Dixit Nene‘s most iconic songs Humko Aaj Kal Hai Intezaar from the film Sailaab.

It’s almost criminal that we’ve not seen Sanya dance more on-screen other than her chartbuster Morni Banke from Badhaai Ho. Can I personally start a petition to persuade more filmmakers to ensure Sanya Malhotra gets a dance number in their movies? Coz those moves don’t lie.
On a different note, yesterday I found a throwback video of Madhuri performing to Humko Aaj Kal Hai Intezaar. And as you’d expect, was left speechless because there’s really no one like Madhuri, is there?

On the film front, Sanya is currently shooting for the Shakuntala Devi biopic alongside Vidya Balan. She plays Vidya’s daughter in the movie. The cast recently wrapped up the first schedule of the film. We can’t wait to see Vidya and Shakuntala Devi and Sanya as Anupama Banerji on the big screen.
