Sports and entertainment are the most talked about topics in our country and it is not surprising that cricketers and actors enjoy a fan following like no other. While there are quite a few films based on cricketers — like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Azhar — always wondered if the sportsmen would try crossing over to the other side. Well, seems like they finally have taken that step right now.
News is that cricketers Irfan Pathan and Harbajan Singh are all set to make their acting debuts in Tamil cinema. Irrfan will be seen in the tentatively titled film, Vikram 58, starring South Indian actor Vikram. He is apparently being cast in a prominent role in the movie, which is being directed by Tamil director, Ajay Gnanamuthu. The music for the film is being composed by A.R.Rahman and it looks like this is going to be one super hit! Taking to Twitter, the producers of the film shared an official confirmation and welcomed the Indian cricketer on board.

On the other hand, Harbajan is all set to debut in the film, Dikkiloona, starring famous Tamil actor/comedian Santhanam. The film is being directed by Karthik Yogi.
We are super excited to see these two talented cricketers step into their second innings in the film industry. Good luck, Irrfan and Harbajan.
