Deepika Padukone is one of the reigning ladies of Bollywood. The actress has made a mark for herself and with everything she does, the actress makes headlines. While Deepika keeps on treating us with her red carpet looks on social media, the actress made a huge revelation recently and we are in awe. As per a report in Midday, Deepika and producer Madhu Mantena will be teaming up to narrate the tale of Mahabharata from Draupadi’s point of view where the actress will be seen essaying the role of Draupadi.
Talking about it, Deepika said,
We all know the Mahabharat for its mythological tales and socio-cultural influence. We derive many of life’s lessons from the epic. But the narrative we are most familiar with is that of the epic’s leading men. This new perspective will be not only interesting but also significant.
The story which will be co-produced by Deepika will be divided into two parts with the first one releasing in Diwali 2021. Apart from this film, Deepika will next be seen opposite Vikrant Massey in Meghna Gulzar‘s Chhapaak. She will also star opposite husband Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan‘s ’83 where she’ll be seen playing the role of Romi Dev.
