Diwali 2019 was one helluva one for Bollywood actors and we give a recap about it. While there was a lot happened over the past three days, as per a report in Midday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan‘s manager and publicist, Archana Sadanand escaped a fire accident. The incident took place at Amitabh Bachchan‘s Diwali party when Archana’s lehenga caught fire when it came in contact with a diya.
The report also stated that it was Shah Rukh Khan who rescued Archana and also suffered minor injuries. Due to the incident, Archana has suffered burns on her hands and right leg. An insider also revealed to the tabloid that it happened at 3 am when there were very few guests present. Archana was admitted at Nanavati Hospital on Monday morning where she was admitted in the ICU to prevent the infection and is currently recovering. Doctors said that Sadanand has sustained 15 per cent of the burns.
Explaining the incident, the source said:
Archana was with her daughter in the courtyard when her lehenga caught fire. Those around were stunned and didn’t know what to do. Shah Rukh had the presence of mind, rushed to Archana, and put out the fire. He, too, sustained minor burns while dousing the flames with a jacket. His only thought was to put out the fire.
Every year Bachchans throw a lavish Diwali bash which is attended by their near and dear ones and Archana who has been working with Aishwarya for over a decade now was present too. Here’s hoping for Archana’s speedy recovery.
